Natal retrograde planet
Mars retrograde in the birth chart: meaning and advice
Mars retrograde in the birth chart (about 9% of births) gives you an energy that compresses before it comes out: you act in waves, after reflection, with a force that surprises people.
With Mars retrograde, anger and desire don’t come out right away. You absorb, you wait, and when you act, it’s with a determination nobody saw coming. The risk is turning that energy against yourself: fatigue, self-sabotage, bottled-up impatience. The asset is a natural strategic sense and rare endurance.
This placement asks you to learn to say no in time and to get angry cleanly, without waiting for the explosion. Sport, craftwork, any activity where the body discharges energy, is real support. Head-to-head competitions suit you less than long-term projects where you choose your moment.
The gift: a delayed, precise striking power. You’re made for long battles, comebacks, second chances. And when Mars goes retrograde in the sky, you’re in your element: it’s your native rhythm.
