0° Scorpio: the threshold, first breath of fixed water

0° Scorpio, from 0°00′ to 0°59′, is the entry degree of the sign, and it already carries its whole signature. It belongs to the 1st decan, ruled by Pluto, the ruler of Scorpio, with a dwad that is also Scorpio: the sign is doubled here, concentrated, entirely unmixed. The term belongs to Mars, which adds an edge and a firm resolve. The result is a clean-cut degree that picks its side from the very first second and doesn’t get lost in preambles.

With the Sun at this degree, you have a presence people notice before you even speak: calm on the surface, magnetic, with a gaze that goes straight to the point. A Moon at 0° Scorpio feels everything deeply from the first contact and knows right away whether someone is sincere. For Venus, love is total commitment or nothing; for a rising sign here, the first impression is intense, sometimes intimidating, always memorable.

Your growth lever is to tame the threshold: this energy starts at full power and can catch the people around you off guard. Learn to dose the intensity of that first contact and to give others time to come in at their own pace. When you turn this entry force into a conscious choice, for instance by launching a project at full speed while keeping a door open for your loved ones, you gain a quiet authority that reassures instead of overwhelming.

This degree also opens the Via Combusta, the stretch running from 15° Libra to 15° Scorpio that tradition considers demanding, especially for the Moon. You are at the very beginning of the course here: the intensity is present, but not yet worn down. If your Moon sits here, it asks for emotional frankness and real moments of release, such as writing, water or movement, rather than keeping everything inside.
