4° Scorpio: the investigator who chases the truth further
4° Scorpio is an investigator’s degree: it sniffs out what’s off, then chases the truth to the end, sometimes very far.
Between 4°00′ and 4°59′, you are in the heart of the Sagittarius dwad, still in the Pluto decan and the term of Mars. This combination gives a Scorpio that plays with its cards on the table: less secretive than the start of the sign, more direct, with a marked taste for frankness and debate. Truth here is not a trophy but a necessity, and it is pursued with obstinacy.
With the Sun at this degree, you can’t stand half-truths and you say so, sometimes a little too fast. A Moon at 4° Scorpio calms down by understanding: as long as it doesn’t know why it hurts, it keeps stirring. Mars has staying power here for long investigations, whether journalism, research or therapy. A rising sign here gives a piercing gaze and words that land true, even if they sting.
The growth lever is to move from the truth that judges to the truth that frees. Before you drop your verdict, ask yourself what the other person could do with it. Frankness paired with a proposal changes everything: it makes you an ally rather than a prosecutor. You then gain immense credibility, because your demand for truth also becomes a demand for care.
This degree sits within the Via Combusta, the stretch from 15° Libra to 15° Scorpio that tradition associates with a strained Moon and marked intensities. For you, that shows up as sharp reactions when someone lies to you or dodges. Build in an airlock before you answer: a breath, a sentence written and then reread, and your lucidity stays your best weapon.
