0° Taurus: the threshold of the earth, a first step toward the lasting

0° Taurus is the first minute of the sign: the Sun has just left Aries and stepped into matter. This degree belongs to the 1st decan, sub-ruled by Venus, to the Taurus dwad and to the term of Venus, so the sign shows up here with no blending at all: gentleness, a taste for the concrete, and the unhurried pace of someone who knows that what lasts gets built slowly. After Aries’s rush, you finally plant your feet on the ground and take stock of what you have.

A planet at 0° Taurus takes on the color of a calm, confident starting point. A Sun here gives someone who starts slowly but never turns back; a Moon, a need for simple rituals and comfort; Venus, a love that settles in through gestures more than words; Mars, an energy that is slow to ignite but steady once it burns. On the Ascendant, this degree gives a reassuring presence, a settled gaze and a voice that calms every room you walk into.

Your key to growth: dare to take the first step without waiting for every guarantee. An entry degree is a doorway, and Taurus likes to look at it for a long time before walking through. Pick one concrete thing, a habit, a thoughtful purchase, a modest project, and launch it this week. Once it’s in motion, your steadiness does the rest, and what you begin here is meant to last for years.

At 0°41′ Taurus, the fixed star Mirach, the girdle of Andromeda, sits within a degree. Its nature is that of Venus: it links to affection, harmony and the grace of bonds we choose. A planet or angle placed near it gains charm, aesthetic sense and emotional sensitivity, which makes this degree especially gentle for anyone working with art, care or love.
