0° Virgo: the threshold where the art of the right detail begins

0° Virgo is the very first degree of the sign, where the Lion hands over to mutable earth. It belongs to the 1st decan, sub-ruled by Mercury, and its dwad is Virgo itself: no other color shades the energy. The term is Mercury’s too. Mercury therefore rules this point three times over, which makes for a degree of rare purity: a quick mind, a taste for detail, a need to understand before acting. Virgo appears here as a promise, before habit has had time to polish it.

The Sun at 0° Virgo makes someone who starts by observing: you watch, you sort, then you launch with method. A Moon at this degree makes the emotions very attentive to the nuances of the atmosphere. Venus loves with finesse here, through small attentions rather than grand declarations, and a rising sign at 0° Virgo gives a polished, discreet first impression that inspires trust. In every case, whatever the planet touches becomes sharper and more useful.

This is an entry degree: like any 0° of a sign, it condenses the whole sign, with no transition. Less than a degree away sits Regulus, at 0°07′ Virgo, a royal star of Mars-Jupiter nature, the heart of the Lion. It brings ambition, a sense of honor and the wish to be recognized. In Virgo, that flame is tempered into excellence: you aim for mastery rather than glory, a reputation built on flawless work. Its condition is nobility of intent: serving rather than dominating.

Your growth lever: dare to begin before everything is perfect. A zero degree is a starting point, not a finish line, and Mercury does better publishing a first version than polishing forever. Put your high standards at the service of something concrete, offer your skill to someone who needs it, and let Regulus do the rest: recognition tends to follow those who serve with brilliance.
